Respecting Africa and Beyond: Reflections on Culture, Art and Heritage in honour of John Mack

On Tuesday, 23 September, the Sainsbury Research Unit officially launched a festschrift in honour of Emeritus Professor John Mack recognising his long-standing contributions to the study of the arts of Africa.

The occasion was also an opportunity to welcome our new MA and PhD students. A moment that allowed us to acknowledge the work that built our foundation while meeting the people who will carry it forward.
